FAQ

What Types of Services Do You Offer?

We prepare plans for individuals and businesses, providing guidance with various stages of the financial planning process, including:

  • Portfolio Management
  • Retirement Planning
  • Investment Planning
  • Cash Flow and Liability Management
  • Estate Planning
  • Education Planning
  • Insurance Assessment

What is your investment philosophy?

Asset diversification is the foundation of our investment philosophy. Assets are selected based on a variety of factors, including cost, historical returns, tax efficiency and correlation to other assets in the portfolio. In building your customized portfolio, we offer and utilize securities products such as ETFs, mutual funds, stocks and bonds.

Do you offer customized portfolios?

From college planning to retirement income and beyond, everyone has different financial goals and risk tolerance. At Withington Financial, we believe that no two investors are alike. We’ll work with you to build an investment plan as unique as you.

What is your portfolio management fee and why does it matter?

We charge between 0.5% and 0.85% annually, based on the total relationship value. A typical investment advisor charges his or her client fees of 1% per year on average. 1% may not seem like much, but it can add up to a significant amount over time, thus lowering your expected returns. By charging you a lower fee, we keep more of your money where it belongs- working for you.

How transparent is your pricing?

With all of the various fees associated with investing, the true, total cost to the investor can sometimes be difficult to discern. We believe in full disclosure when it comes to our management fees, so you’ll always know up front how much you’re paying.  There are no start-up costs, administration fees or other hidden expenses.

What is the typical cost of a financial plan?

Plans start at $600 and can vary depending on complexity. Clients with $500,000 in managed investments receive their initial plan at no additional charge. Complimentary retirement and pension plan analysis is also available for clients with certain managed asset levels. There is no charge for an initial consultation.

How can diversification help me?

Diversification is the convention of spreading money among various investments in order to lower risk. Choosing the proper group of investments may help limit losses and reduce the volatility of investment returns.

No single asset allocation model is suitable for every investor. We assist you in creating a portfolio that is appropriate to your specific objectives and will regularly review and adjust your holdings to ensure that you remain on track to meeting your financial goals.

Where is my money held?

All client accounts are securely held by an independent custodian, Pershing LLC. A subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon, Pershing LLC holds over 1 trillion in global client assets and is part of the oldest continuously operating bank in the United States.

Will I have access to my account online?

Yes. All clients have 24/7 secure access to their accounts online through Osaic’s eQuipt Client Portal.
